Holidays Tasks

You are expected to have finished everything and blogged it up to date (see my last post with progress check spreadsheet). This includes: Your Brand Identity post; Audience Questionnaire with results and analysis; Reflection on your findings; Magazine Layouts; Hand drawn design (try to include more than one idea - up to three). You can find A* examples of all tasks on the blog link below.

Holiday Task 1:  http://hannahmelia1.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/photo-planning.html Complete your photography planning for your front page. You should now know what your main image will be. See the A* exemplar to show you what is expected from this post:

  • Photo planning
  • Moodboard
  • Schedule
Holiday Task 2: Take your photographs (using a camera rather than an iPhone - the quality needs to be excellent to secure the best production mark possible). Upload these to Flickr and blog the link. You must have these in our next lesson.

Optional Task: Do a first mock up on Fireworks of your music magazine (try to ensure there are some things you intend to change to show progress as you make your production piece).

All of this is due in our first lesson back: Wednesday 14th January.

Merry Christmas and good luck with your mock exams!

Progress Check 17/12/14

Progress Update 19/12/14 Well done to those of you who have made progress this week! :)

You are getting close to the production elements of your coursework but must  have completed your research and planning (worth 20 marks) beforehand!

What are you missing?

Some people are completing extension tasks because they have finished everything and are up to date. The following people have yellow cards for work that is still incomplete (some of this spans back as far as 3-4 weeks!): Manpreet, Jordan, Tom and Marcus.

Magazine Layouts

http://hannahmelia1.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/layouts-for-my-front-cover.html

You are going to experiment with different layout using your research to inform different designs. What are the conventions of layout and design? How will you place the features of your front cover?

Produce 6 alternative layouts for your new music magazine. Due: Tuesday 9th December.

Audience Questionnaire

Use https://www.surveymonkey.com/ to create a questionnaire about your target audience. Look at the example questions from the A* example but make sure you don't just copy them!
